Well I have had a nightmare trying to post this so it will be a very quick one!
How I made this card:-
I first of all took a piece of white stamping card (approximately 5" square) and placed the Bubbles stencil/mas over it and coloured through it using various shades of blue Distress/dye based inks - for instance Altenew and Tim Holtz.
I then edged it with a black alcohol marker and attached it to the front of a 6" white scalloped edged card.
I then stamped the Thank You sentiment (from Crafter's Companion) but it could be any sentiment that fits in the largest of the bubbles. I used Black amalgam ink from Gina K to do this.
And there you are - a VERY quick and easy card.....
I have been experimenting with clear embossing powder on black card and came up with this flower themed blank 5in card - if you want to know how I made it then read on!
How I made this card:-
I had created this jagged edged square background layer on my Brother Scan n Cut and I cut it out using Lynda Chapman's Black card - it measures about 4" if you are interested!
I dusted it with an anti-static bag to get rid of any dirt/grease and then stamped the floral spray (from Stamps by Me by Toni Darroch but doesn't have a name on the packaging) on to it using Versamark ink and then added Clear embossing powder (i used Stamps Away) and heat set it.
As it is quite tricky to see the outline, you do need to place it in a good light to work out where to add the colour - I used Crafter's Companion's Colour Blends Essentials set of pencils from Spectrum Noir to do this.
I then glued to the front of a 5" white card using PVA glue.
I could have added a sentiment but wanted to highlight the flowers used so stamped one of the smaller images in the set on to a circle (a Tattered Lace die) of white card using Tonic Studios Nuvo Black ink and colouredit in using a Pink alcohol marker (a Tri-blend pen from Spectrum Noir again) - these are useful as you have the 3 different shades of the same colour all in one place.
I also used one of their green ones to colour the stem and leaves.
I used PVA glue to attach it to the bottom right hand corner.
Today's cards are very easy to make but would make a great present or you can send them to people just to say you are thinking of them!
How I made these cards:-
All these cards are made in the same way so won't bore you with each individual one but will concentrate on one - the Hello card on the bottom right hand side....
I used DoCrafts Xcut self adhesive papers to make the background layers - they are a mx of encapsulated glitter and mirror and cut 5 out using the largest of the diamond die from Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me Artistic Mounts - Diamond die set.
I removed the backing paper slowly and place the diamond towards the top of an C6 white card (some are traditional side fold but others are top fold). Once the whole thing was on, I then used the backing paper to burnish them down so they were stuck securely.
I had cut out a lot of flowers using Tattered Lace and Tonic Studios dies (both black and white) and decided to use them as decorations for these cards, so glued them to the diamond with PVA glue - you have to make sure that the glue grabs on the glitter paper but I haven't had any problems with it to be honest.
I then stamped the sentiments either on the right hand or left hand side using a variety of Companies stamps - I used Gina K Black Amalgam ink as it creates a clean image.
As mentioned above, the principle of making these cards are the same and are very easy to make - why not give them in a box with a set of stamps so that someone can send them?
Well, I hope you have had a good week - it certainly has flown by! Today's card is one I have made with one of my hand painted background.
How I made this card:-
I first of all painted the background using various sparkly watercolour inks - from Stamps by Me Gossip range and also Crafter's Companion Sparkle range. As you can see from the photo, I used yellows, greens, blues, greys with darker colours for the trees in the middle of the card.
I left it to dry overnight and then trimmed it so it would fit the front of an A6 white card.
I then edged it with a black alcohol marker.
I stuck it to the card using PVA glue, leaving a small border all around it.
I have had these Stylish Silhouettes (from Hunkydory) for ages and decided they would go well with this, so stuck the branch and three of the leaves descending from the top left hand side.
I then cut out the 2 dogs in black card (dies from the Fun and Frolics set from Tattered Lace and the card from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper). I stuck them to the bottom of the card again with PVA glue.
I used the Best Friends sentiment from one of the Friends Forever stamp set from Rare Earth, stamped it onto some white card using Black ink, cut around it and added it to the top right hand corner with some foam pads.
