  1. Hi Craft Addicts!

Well today's card is a fun and cheerful one using Peel Off stickers, a die, stamp and ink!

GC 2019 - Christmas - Snowman with broom on ornate holly white frame Happy

    How I made this card:-

    • I first of all took the Snowman Peel Off sticker (I bought it from Craft Creations years ago) and placed it on a pre-cut deckle edged panel of white card (again from Craft Creations).
    • I added 3 snowflake peel off stickers to the top of the panel and coloured the top part with Blue Tim Holtz Distress inks - such as Broken China and Salty Ocean. I used a scrap piece of paper to leave one third of the panel white. I was also careful not to  colour the snowman when doing it!
    • Using alcohol markers, I coloured his hat in (Black andGrey) and then Brown shades for the broom. I also used Orange for the carrot. I used a grey one to add some dimension to the Snowman.
    • I removed the snowflakes so that they showed white against the blue sky.
    • I then edged it with a blue alcohol marker.
    • The background panel is the largest die from the Noel Frames set from Sweet Dixie which I cut out in white card.
    • I was going to use it white on white but felt it looked better against a coloured background, so coloured the front of a 7" x 5" white card with Salty Ocean Tim Holtz Distress ink.
    • I then attached the frame background to it with some PVA glue and then added the Snowman panel again with PVA glue.
    • I took the Pennant stamp from an Apple Blossom set, stamped it on to some white card with Gina K's Black Amalgam ink and then added the Happy Birthday stamp to it.
    • I coloured it in with a dusting of the Salty Ocean, cut around it and then attached it, at an angle with PVA glue.
  2. Hi Craft addicts!

I really enjoyed making this card as it uses a variety of techniques - from stamping to embossing!

GC 2019 - Just for you - Deer in forest silhouette with swirl embossed bg 6

    How I made this card:-

    • I took a piece of white stamping card (you could also use watercolour card) and used a variety of distress/dye based inks to create a sky scene blending them in as well as possible.
    • I then cut out the stag and forest scene in black card (it is a Tattered Lace Symphony die I think).
    • I separated  them and glued the scene on the background using PVA glue.
    • I took another piece of white card and this time passed it through an electronic cutting machine with the Ribbon Swirls 3D embossing folder from Creative Expressions.
    • It is incredible how deep the embossing is, and I used a blue ink pad to rub gently over the swirls to it highlighted the different levels.
    • I cut it to fit the front of a 6" square card (with a narrow border all around it) and stuck it with PVA to it.
    • Using some foam pads, I added the forest scene to the bottom right hand corner and then used the foam pads and glue to add the stag to the left hand side.
    • Finally, I used a Just for You sentiment stamp (I am not sure which Company it is from), stamped it onto some white card with Gina K Black Amalgam ink.
    • I cut around it, giving it a cloud effect - I then coloured it with a pale blue ink pad and then edged it with a blue alcohol marker.
    • Finally, I glued it to the top left hand corner with PVA and added some blue Nuvo drops to various places.

  3. Hi Craft Addicts!

I hope you all had a great weekend? Chilly isn't it? As it is now one month exactly until Christmas time I thought it was time I started to push some Christmas cards I have done!

GC 2019 - Christmas - Father Christmas and reindeer over town A6 white card

    How I made this card:-

    • I first of all cut a piece of Royal Blue cardstock which fitted half of an A6 white card and glued it into place using PVA glue.
    • I then took a piece of light green card which was slightly more than half of the card and tore it so it looked like hills.
    • I used the side where the white core showed through and stuck that to the bottom part of the card again with PVA glue.
    • I cut out the Santa's sleigh and Town scene out in Black card - the dies are from a set by Sweet Dixie and the card is from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper.
    • I used PVA glue to attach the Town scene to the bottom of the card.
    • I cut off one of the Reindeer as the die cut was a bit too long and stuck it to the top of one of the houses. I then glued the sleigh to the top left hand corner.
    • The Happy Christmas sentiment is another die from Sweet Dixie and I used Holographic card to cut it out and stuck it in the top right hand corner.
    • Finally, I dotted some white Gel pen specks to look like snow or stars!
  4. Hi Craft addicts!

Today's card is a small A7 one that could be used as a greetings card or even a gift tag on that special present!

GC 2019 - Birthdays - Have a wonderful day flower bud alcohol inks A7 white

    How I made this card:-

    • I first off created the background which I made using a variety of alcohol inks - predominately from Tim Holtz Ranger set.
    • I took a peice of A5 Yupo paper (it is a recycled environmentally friendly paper that is great for alcohol ink) and added greens, reds and blues to it until I was happy with the design.
    • I left it overnight as I wanted to look at it afresh and when I did I saw that one particular spot looked like an abstract red flower bud with leaves so I took a small rectangle and cut it out.
    • I attached it to the front of a small white card (in this case it is A7) using PVA glue.
    • I then took a leaf stamp from of Crafter's Companion Blooming Hydrangas set and stamped it either side of the topper using a Green ink cube (Altenew, Rare Earth or Tim Holtz would be perfect).
    • I then stamped the Have a Wonderful day sentiment (from the same set as the leaf) at the bottom of the card using Gina K Black Amalgam ink.
