  1. Hi Craft addicts!

Today's card is a Christmas card with both a vintage and modern style using only dies and some toppers!!

GC 2019 - Christmas- Vintage style sentiment merry Christmas 6in square car

    How I made this card:-

    • I had this cream and white pre cut 6in card for ages andf thought it about time I used it!
    • I therefore, took all the elements out from one of Hunkydory's Whopper Topper Christmas pads and played around with them until I knew where I wanted them!
    • I stuck the largest of the toppers to the card using PVA glue.
    • I then took the longest sentiment strip and measured it against the bottom right hand corner, sticking the smallest one down first and then trimmed it to fit and then repeated it another two times so they increased in size as it went up the card.
    • I cut out both fir branches (from the Fir Cones die set from Sweet Dixie in green card, and coloured the stem with a brown alcohol marker.
    • I used some PVA glue along the stem to attach the largest to the bottom left hand corner and the smaller of the two on the right hand side.
    • To finish the card off, I added 3 drops of Black Nuvo drops to opposite corners of the card...
  2. Hi Craft Addicts!

Well I have had a nightmare trying to post this so it will be a very quick one!

GC 2019 - Thank you - Thank you in speech bubble 6in scalloped edged card -

    How I made this card:-

    • I first of all took a piece of white stamping card (approximately 5" square) and placed the Bubbles stencil/mas over it and coloured through it using various shades of blue Distress/dye based inks - for instance Altenew and Tim Holtz.
    • I then edged it with a black alcohol marker and attached it to the front of a 6" white scalloped edged card.
    • I then stamped the Thank You sentiment (from Crafter's Companion) but it could be any sentiment that fits in the largest of the bubbles. I used Black amalgam ink from Gina K to do this.

And there you are - a VERY quick and easy card.....

  3. Hi Craft Addicts!

Today's card is a really bright and cheerful Christmas card using the Whopper Topper set from Hunkydory...

GC 2019 - Christmas - Gingerbread House on red tartan bg from Our Home to y

    How I made this card:-

    • I took 2 sheets of the Gingerbread House topper sets (it includes everything you need to make a card from the topper to sentiment) and removed the main topper and one of the sentiments.
    • I then cut around the house as I wanted to add a bit of decoupage to my finished card.
    • I thought that the red tartan paper would go well with this design so cut a piece to fit the front of an A5 card leaving a narrow border all around it.
    • I stuck this down using PVA glue but you could also use either a tape pen or a wet glue.
    • I also stuck the main topper to some green paper as I thought it would work well but I must admit it didn't work quite as well as I didn't cut the arch bit out accurately but I don't think you notice in the finished card!
    • I attached it to the top left hand corner of the card using PVA glue and then added the decoupaged house using foam pads which gave it some height.
    • I then used the same green paper under the sentiment and attached that to the bottom right hand corner of the card using foam pads.
    • Finally, I had one of these cut Christmas Pudding Peel off stickers which I had coloured using alcohol markers and added it to the where the cutting out wasn't the best, again with foam pads.
    • And finally finally, I used Nuvo drops (the black ones) from Tonic Studios and dotted them around the tartan background.
  4. Hi Craft Addicts!

Today's card is a mix of dies, stamps and Pixie Powder style powders and together they make a really stylish Birthday card...

GC 2019 - Birthdays - Sunflower on hand coloured bg frame C6 white cards Ha

    How I made this card:-

    • I had been playing (I seem to be doing a lot of that recently) with some Pixie Powders (from Creative Expressions) and Lynette Jasper's Pretty Gets Gritty Explosion Powders and I rreally liked how this background turned out.
    • To create the background, I tapped various colours on to some white card and then spritzed some water on top of it and allowed it to spread. I repeated the process until I was happy with the result.
    • I let it dry and then cut out the middle sized die from the Noel Frames set from Sweet Dixie.
    • I had cut out this Sunflower die (from Tattered Lace) ages ago in white card and coloured it in using Zig Clean Color pens - Yellows, Oranges and Greens predominately. You can of course colour it in using Alcohol markers, watercolour paints etc.
    • I trimmed the stalk a bit as i wanted it to fit the frame and then attached it using PVA glue.
    • I then stuck the whole panel on to the front of a C6 white card (so many Companies produce these such as Hunkydory and Lynda Chapman's World of Paper from Creative Crafting World).
    • I wanted it to have a sentiment so used the Happy Birthday stamp from For the Love of Stamps (Hunkydory) Sweet Sentiments set and stamped it on to a pre-cut circle in white card using Black Gina K Amalgam ink.
    • I cut out a flower in black card, stuck the sentiment to it and then added it to the bottom right hand corner with PVA glue and then trimmed it so it didn't overhang.
    • Finally, I added 3 drops of Black Nuvo Drops (from Tonic Studios) to the top left hand corner and some more into the centre of the flower.

And there you are - a quick and easy Birthday card that is bright and cheerful.
